Artist's Comments

This.... is a Sharkman. I drew it as the final project for my art class. We were supposed to morph ourselves with an animal. I modeled my own body and morphed it with a hammerhead, my favorite animal, and came away with a horrible fishman. The background looked a bit bare, so I made it all black with some little floaty dealies and waves from the direction of the ight source to make it look linda like a nautical photo. The quality of the image isn't as good as usual, as it was way, way too big to fit onto my scanner, so I had to take a photo. The mediums were willow charcoal, compressed charcoal and white-out.

This really made my eyes go wide, the chest anatomy is deliciously amazing. Love the overall idea of this piece, VERY well done! Freaky and creative. Hands are a little small, but thats about it... very... wow... you have improoved greatly. I seriously love this piece... can i eeet him?

that's really cool. ^^ it's interesting how much your background looks like a night sky—the floatie-dealies look a bit like stars, and the waves could be clouds.

My rippedness depends greatly on the lighting and were my blood is focused at the time. Before I took the picture that I used as a model, I had to do 100 crunches, 100 push ups, some dips, block out windows, set up lights and actually practice flexing. So yeah, I am that ripped, under the right conditions. :P

Anyway, thankee. I noticed the hands after the fact... but I said fuckit. I'm glad you like. ^_^

until i read your description, i sort of figured you were going for some sort of constellation rather than, you know, a shark actually swimming underwater. so it worked quite well. ^^;

Sharkman! ...does this make you a furry? (You're allowed to slap me for saying that, by the way)

It looks really neat. A good blend of human and animal - better then most furries who draw that sort of thing all the time. The way it shifts is near seamless - well done. And... I just like pencil and charcoal shading, since I myself suck at the mediums so much.
